For Sale: A Bugeye Sprite named Dobbs
Find a Sprite owner at a car show and ask what he or she loves about the small British roadster. Chances are, you'll hear things like: "fun to drive, cheap, reliable, and great-looking". The Sprite's basic, yet quirky look has appealed to many and repulsed a few, but there is no mistaking this car as anything else - it is truly unique. If interested in a more comprehensive look at the overall run of Bugeyes, take a peek at our post from last week.
What we've found for you today is a very nice Sprite featured on Bugeyeguy.com, the one-stop-shop for all things Sprite. In fact, this website not only sells Bugeyes, it also appears to be an incredibly useful resource for Sprite owners. So let us introduce you to "Dobbs" as it is so affectionately named:

This is Dobbs, a nice Bugeye that’s (sic) drives wonderfully.
The car was very well maintained by a car collector, who admired the reliability of this car, which always started for him, while his other more expensive cars sometimes did not.
This car works well because it has a strong 948 engine that was rebuilt recently, as well as an electronic fuel pump. The four speed transmission works great, good synchros and no issues.
The wiring harness was also recently replaced with a repro original harness.
The car is a blast to drive and can be driven and enjoyed right now. The paint job shows some scratches and voids. You could repaint this car, but it is nice enough for carefree cruising, without fear of nick or scratch.
