58,000 Mile 1968 Corvette
"Little Red Corvette"... When Prince, "The artist formerly known as Prince" (or whatever he is known as now) wrote that lyric, he was probably thinking about a early to mid-80's Corvette that was bogged down with that era's Government mandated emission controls and performance robbing add-ons. Those cars had their place and we give them their due respect, but when we think of a red Corvette, we envision a nice drop-top that is just a bit older.

Yes, a 63' split-window in red would be perfect, but our coverage of C-2's was last week! Roll the ticker forward to 1968, first year of the C-3 Corvettes, and you'll find beauties like this low mile 4-speed convertible. I was always a fan of black interiors over any other color, so the black on red color combo really pops for me. So here's the review: Overall, this car appears to be in really nice shape. The seats look very comfortable and broken in, but not clapped out. The top looks to fit nicely, and this car is a true knock-out when the top is down. While reading the ad, I get the sense this car has not been hacked apart or tampered with. (Nothing more scary than cut wires hanging out from under the dash board and four different tires!!) The listing points out only the brakes and paint have been updated over the years. While that can be both a good and bad thing, we're erring on the side of good based on the photos. For a $24,900 asking price, you could pick up this car, freshen a few things and still be ahead of the game. See the full ad here in Hemming's Motor News.
So, will this find it's way into your garage? If you've been looking for a nice driver, this would get job done. You'll have fun searching the radio dial for a few Prince songs, or listening to that nice 327/350 purr.
